Lucerne

My last stop on this trip, and by far my most favorite city.

By far, my most accomplished picture of the trip.

Hof Church. It was incredible. I wish we had sung there!

Benches alongside the lake...

Mount Pilatus against the lake.

Saint Lecher's, the lake, and the walkways around it.

Lot's of swans. They were huge too!

Ah, the gnarly roots of Sartre...

It was quite the trip!

Alps

The trip through the alps from Salzburg to Zurich was a feast to the visual faculties, and was, delightfully, further complimented by the movie The Sound of Music which we were allowed to watch on the bus. What a treat after just being in Van-Trappe land itself (aka Salzburg)...

I wish we had stopped the bus every once in a while... but alas we were on a schedule and I'll just have to live with the reflections in the window...

I like this picture because it has a unique compositions: a beautiful antique church rising out of a sea of industry, against the backdrop of the alps, sprinkled with power lines.

A train tunnel. These were so cool to go through, and it made us wonder why, if they could burrow through mountains with such skill, tunnels in Boston were falling on people.

Our two leaders singing their hearts out to Sound of Music after FORBIDDING us to even hum. What was that bible verse about the log in the eye... :-P
My favorite shot of the trip... thank god I had my camera out.
