Zurich

We arrived in Europe and spent three wonderful days in this melting-pot of a city.

The Swiss National Museum, which Mau and Andrea were kind enough to let me peruse while they enjoyed the retail aspect of the city, was so interesting. While it looks old, don't be deceived; the building is a reconstruction of a typical Swiss castle, and quite a convincing one at that. I must also say, that I'm a museum connoisseur, and this was one of the best-constructed and most engaging institutions I've been privileged to go to.

Once again, my favorite composition: the overlapping of the modern and the antique.

Even the indoor rooms were modeled after old castles. They were all wooden, from top, to bottom, ceilings et al. To the left is a sink and in each room were massive ceramic heaters with intricate paintwork.

This was very, very primitive Switzerland. Despite it's harsh weather, Switzerland has actually been inhabited since the Pre-Roman era.

A shirt! How cool, huh?

My great-great-great-great-great grandma.

St. Gabriel and the amazing techno-color dream-coat? Anyone?

Three adorable ladies and a BEAUTIFUL "Bahnoff" (train station)

Old Zurich.
